Tensar are proud to have been presented with two individual awards in the Czech Republic and Poland. The medals which were awarded for innovative new product “Tensar TriAx geogrid” follow on from the successful launch of the product in the UK in 2007 and the rest of Europe in 2008.
The first of the two awards was received at the International Building Fairs IBF 2008 in Brno, Czech Republic and was given to Tensar by the Trade Fairs Brno Company. Tensar TriAx became the first geosynthetic product to win the Gold Medal which was presented to Jacek Kawalec from Tensar International and Petr Hubík from Geomat.
The second success followed for Tensar winning the Gold Medal at Autostrada 2008 Fairs in Kielce, Poland. Tensar TriAx was once again the only geosynthetic product to win the award. The success of TriAx in the Product and Technology category lead to Tensar becoming one of only 8 companies to win from 800 entries.
Unlike conventional geogrids – comprising square or rectangular apertures – TriAx has a unique triangular structure which offers a multitude of performance benefits for a variety of ground stabilisation applications.
Extensive research has refined TriAx’ unique design features, resulting in a new kind of geogrid that increases aggregate confinement to offer greatly improved soil stabilisation properties
This success follows on from the NCE Product of the year award which was presented to Tensar for TriAx geogrid at Civils 2007!
